Product details

With a hand-engraved botanical design, each piece is unique and reflects an artistry that dates back to the very beginnings of our workshop.

The adjustable bracelet fits comfortably on any wrist, measuring 175 × 12 × 2 mm. This is a unique opportunity, as it is part of my anniversary collection—once it is sold out, there will be no restock.

How can you tell if copper is genuine?

You can feel it from the very first moment. Genuine copper feels solid, has a noticeable weight and a warm colour that changes with wear. Over time, it develops a natural patina that no copper-plated piece can imitate.

With imitations, the thin outer layer eventually wears away, revealing a dull, grey metal underneath. That does not happen with solid copper: it is copper all the way through, rather than a coating.

These are the characteristics you can rely on:

1. A warm, rich colour that deepens over time.

2. A natural patina that makes each piece unique.

3. A reassuring weight and solid feel compared with inexpensive alloys.

4. An even surface, with no hidden grey layer underneath.

I carefully check every piece by hand before it leaves my workshop. I have been working with copper for 18 years, and I personally stand behind every piece I send out.

How do I care for my copper jewellery?

Pure copper changes with wear. It darkens, develops a richer colour and takes on a warmth that a brand-new finish simply doesn’t have. That is exactly what most of our customers love about it.

If you would like to restore its shine, mix a little lemon juice with a pinch of salt. Rub gently, rinse with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. All you need are a few kitchen essentials.

About Margaret

About Margaret

Every piece in this collection is created with the same intention: to be worn by someone who wants to feel something genuine.

Copper has been worn against the skin for thousands of years: from the queens of ancient Egypt and Roman soldiers to generations of women before us. Worn quietly, day after day, directly against the skin. This same fascination inspired the Margaret Copper collection: pure copper, crafted with the care it deserves — pieces our customers return to year after year.

What began as a small collection grew into something we can only describe as a calling. Every detail matters: the weight, the finish, the purity. Because the women who wear our pieces deserve to know exactly what they are putting against their skin.

Every piece in this collection is handcrafted, one at a time. We can only make a limited number, and once they’re sold out, they’re gone.

My mother lived to 96. She wore copper every single day of her life.

My mother lived to 96. She wore copper every single day of her life.

She never took it off. Not in the shower. Not while sleeping. Not even on her wedding day.
We called it superstition. She called it tradition.
She grew up wearing copper jewellery every day — just like her mother, and her mother before her.

"You stopped wearing copper, then wondered why everything started to feel harder."

I dismissed it for years. Until I finally started looking more closely — and realised she had lived differently from every other woman I knew.

She had something I believe modern women have lost: an object she put on every morning that connected her to her mother, her grandmother, and all the women who came before her. A small daily ritual. Three thousand years of history. No pills. No schedules. Nothing to remember.

Her copper bracelet is now on my wrist.
Too late to tell her she was right. But not too late for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is delivery free across the UK?

Yes – delivery is 100% free across the UK, with no extra costs.

I've tried copper jewellery before and wasn't impressed. Why would this be any different?

Most likely because what you wore before wasn't solid copper.

The vast majority of copper jewellery sold online is only a thin copper layer over a base metal – so once that layer wears away, you're left with a dull grey metal.

Every one of our pieces is 99.9% pure copper, all the way through. No coating, no base metal, no plating. You can see and feel the difference: the weight, the warm colour and the patina that develops as you wear it.

Give it time – copper really comes into its own when you wear it every day, as the patina deepens and the piece becomes truly yours.

How is your jewellery made?

Every piece Margaret designs is made with care and attention to detail.

Margaret personally chooses the best materials and oversees every step in her workshop.

Her aim is jewellery that isn't just beautiful, but lasts for many years.

Does copper really make a difference?

We get asked this all the time, so here's an honest answer.

Copper jewellery has been worn for thousands of years, long before modern medicine – but we don't make any health claims, and our jewellery is not a medical product.

What we can say: women who discover our copper at 45, 50 or 55 keep coming back – season after season, year after year – for the warm colour, the weight and the way each piece changes with them over time.

That's the difference we promise: real, solid copper that looks and feels like it.

Is there any scientific evidence?

No – there is no scientific evidence that copper jewellery has health benefits, and we won't pretend otherwise. That's why we sell it purely as jewellery.

What we can say: copper has been worn against the skin for more than 3,000 years, in almost every civilisation on earth. Roman soldiers. Ayurvedic healers. Indigenous North American craftspeople. Generations of women who inherited it from their mothers, who in turn inherited it from theirs.

They didn't wear it because of a study. They wore what their grandmothers wore – and that tradition is what we carry on.

Can I wear it in water or in the shower?

Yes, of course.

Pure copper is naturally hard-wearing – for centuries it has been worn by fishermen, farmers and workers in all kinds of weather and in water.

That said, there are a few things worth knowing:

• Salt water and chlorine speed up the patina – your piece will darken and age faster than if you wear it dry.

• This isn't damage. It's simply copper's natural reaction to its surroundings, as with any real metal.

• Prolonged or repeated contact with chlorinated pool water can affect the surface over time.

If you'd like to keep the original shine, rinse the piece with clean water after swimming and dry it afterwards. If not – just keep wearing it. It's made to be worn, not to sit in a drawer.

Isn't it just an overpriced piece of metal?

Copper is a base metal, that's true.

What you're paying for is real craftsmanship, 100% pure material and the fact that this is a limited collection.

We've turned down companies that wanted to mass-produce our designs, because we won't put our name on anything that isn't made by our own hands.

Every piece in this shop has been shaped, engraved and finished by hand. When they're sold out, there are no more.

You can buy a copper-plated bracelet anywhere for a few pounds. This is something different.

How do returns work?

We want you to order with complete peace of mind.

If you receive your order and would like to request a return, our team will personally review your case and guide you through the next steps in line with our returns policy.

We treat every request seriously, quickly and respectfully, to offer you the best possible solution: an exchange, a refund or personal support, whichever suits you best.

At Margaret Copper, our care doesn't end when you place your order.
